
The county was established in 1905 and named after Wilbur Fisk Sanders, pioneer and U.S. It is bordered on the west by Idaho’s Panhandle and is Montana’s 18th most populous county with approximately 11,000 residents. The Sanders County Board of Health has adopted the Governor’s directive rescinding the face mask initiative, but still encourages the wearing of masks when social distance cannot be maintained. –Schools should make reasonable efforts to follow school guidelines and best practices recommended by the CDC and the Montana Office of Public Instruction. –Food and beverage industries are permitted and encouraged to offer food and beverages using delivery, window service, walk-up, drive-through or drive-up service, and to use precautions in doing so to mitigate the potential transmission of COVID-19, including social distancing. –Businesses should develop and implement practices of masking, social distancing, temperature checks and/or symptom screening, testing, isolating and contact tracing, in collaboration with public health authorities, sanitation, disinfecting and teleworking. –Public gatherings or events should be managed using the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) social distancing guidelines. –Montanans are encouraged to use responsibility and wear masks and should follow the best industry practices adopted by any business they visit to slow spread of the virus. *For information on the isolation and quarantine process, please see the Public Health Coronavirus page* *A parent or legal guardian MUST accompany children at the clinic* We will NOT be offering a covid vaccine clinic on Monday 12/13
